We Need Paryer in our Schools
Prayer in the Schools
As I ponder upon the kindergarten deaths on Friday Dec 14, 2012 my heart tells me the only protection is to turn to the Lord. Our schools have turned away from God. It is Christmas time I have been playing the piano for a kindergarten program. They sing Rudolf and sometimes sing Jingle Bells. Where is Christ? The birth of the son of God is not mentioned in the schools even in song at Christmas time. No prayers. No God mentioned.
The message seems “Turn To God for Protection” ! No amount of Guards or Guns or background checks will protect our children, but the Good Shepherd will. I petition Americans to pray to God in our schools for HIS Protection and Blessing.
David Allen tells us:
He promises, "the righteous need not fear," and He will not let the wicked destroy the righteous, except for those who accepted in pre-mortal realms to be martyrs for the cause of truth.
Praise be to these 20 kindergarten children who have eternal glory!

Who Are the Lord’s Chosen People?
Jesus Christ Teaches the Nephities
Ye have both heard my voice, and seen me; and ye are my sheep, and ye are numbered among those whom the Father hath given me. (3 Nephi 15:24) When Jesus Christ appears to the Nephities He refers to Gentiles in the Latter days and the House of Israel. “Blessed are the Gentiles because of their belief in me” (3 Nephi 16:6) “7.…in the latter day shall the truth come unto the Gentiles, that the fullness of these things shall be made known unto them” 8. But wo, saith the Father , unto the unbelieving of the Gentiles….have scattered my people who are of the house of Israel” Here it sounds like House of Israel is the Indians of North America and Gentiles are Americans.
The Lord shall stand in the midst of his people-----they who are in the north countries shall smite the rocks, and the ice shall flow down at their presence and they shall bring forth their rich treasures unto the children of Ephraim, my servants. They from the north shall fall down and be crowned with glory, by the hands of the servants of the Lord, even the children of Ephraim. They shall be filled with songs of everlasting joy. This joy is manifest by all in song! This is the blessing of the everlasting God upon the tribes of Israel, and the richer blessing upon the head of Ephraim and his fellows. D&C 133:25-35
In patriachical blessings most members of the Church in Western United States are told they are of the lineage of Ephraim, yet in the Book of Mormon we seem to be Gentiles. Mormons in Utah and surrounding area have for generations send out missionaries throught out the world and it is now a world-wide church with missionaries from many nations. Teaching the nations is part of the responsibilities of the seed of Abraham to be the Lord’s covenant people.
D&C 121:14 “Many are Called but few are Chosen”. It is ease to see that someone can be called and not chosen but I have learned that one may be chosen without being called. D&C 122 : 9 “fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever.”
When Jesus appreared to the Nephities he quoted Isaiah 54. It is about a barren woman having more children than a married wife. I finally understood more of this last night when reading the New Living Tranlation of Isiah 54. Jerusalem is the barren woman. And in the end the Lord greatly blesses the Jews, his covenant people and House of Israel and Jerusalem. In 3 Nephi chapter 21 it is confusing to me about who are the Gentiles- do they include members of the church ? Who is the remnant of the house of Jacob—the Indians? Book of Mormon comes forth from the Gentiles to the world. Who is the House of Israel?
Gospel Doctrine Manual lesson 40 quotes President Joseph Fielding Smith “Every person who embraces the gospel becomes of the house of Israel. In other words, they become members of the chosen lineage, or Abraham’s children though Isaac and Jacob unto whom the promises were made. The great majority of those who become members of the Church are literal descendants of Abraham through Ephraim, son of Joseph. Those who are not literal descendants of Abraham and Israel must become such, and when they are baptized and confirmed they are grafted into the tree and are entitled to all the rights and privileges as heirs” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R McConkie, 3 vols. (1954-56),3:246.
This feels right and explains are the dilemma of who am I and who are you in God’s sight-- We are Cod’s Children. When we are baptized we become God’s covenant people. We make covenants with him each week to remember him, to keep his commandments , and to take his name upon us. Yea, We have the name of Jesus Christ as part of our name.
Isaiah 54 is about Jesus Christ loving and protecting and blessing us more than we can know.

The New Living Translation helped me understand that Isaiah 54 & 3 Nephi 22- is about Jerusalem, and the Jews and the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Israel, Jerusalem, and the Church has been as a childless woman, a desolate woman, but the time will come that this woman will have the joy of children. Jerusalem will be filled with Jews, the Church will enlarge her stakes, The church will grow. The Lord, our creator will be like our husband giving his baptized covenant people his everlasting love and compassion. The Lord’s name is The Lord of Heaven’s Armies. For a brief moment He abandoned Jerusalem, the Jews, even the Church had to pass through tribulation of being cast out, jailed and fleeing again and again. The Lord is in charge of the smith that forms all weapons –all bombs—all atomic weapons--- and no weapon that is formed against his covenant people shall prosper. Wow! What a great blessing to be protected and loved by the Lord. His blessing to those keep their covenants with the Lord the mountains may move and the hills disappears but his faithful love for his people will never be broken. He will rebuild the storm=-battered Jerusalem with precious jewels with foundation from lapis lazuli gaates of shining gems, walls of precious stones. This love, protection, beauty, blessings is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
I want to be a covenant keeper. One who may receive these promised blessings.

Jacob 5
In Jacob 5 the longest chapter in the book of Mormon much emphasis is placed on the balance of the top branches and leaves to the root beneath with the goal being good fruit. The branches represent materialism, the physical, our body. The roots represent the spiritual, our spirit, our love, and connection to God, our testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.
Corrupt fruit comes from too many branches and leaves and too little root. Good Fruit comes when branches are cut off and roots are strong to support the top portion of the tree. There must be balance between the physical and the spiritual!
It is not what you see when you look at each of us. It is our roots, our unseen spiritual side balanced with branches and leaves that makes us yield good fruit and be able to be a people worthy to build Zion to be nurtured when all the rest of the world is cast into the fire and burned.
May we have spiritual strength to support the many physical blessings the Lord pours upon us. Always remember the source of our blessings and work, meaning love God and love others (Matt. 25) serving God by serving others, to yield good fruit.

God’s Pattern In All Things
When we were young we would be given a pattern of shapes or beads and ask what comes next. By studying the previous pattern we could choose the completion of the pattern. Chiasmi are a pattern by which we can predict the ending from the beginning. The Periodic Chart with electrons being given definite positions as arranged by Helen A. Pawlowski has a distinct pattern which could be extended forever if we choose to go that far.
The pattern consists of seven circles with a polarity line dividing it in half. Families of elements with similar properties are located on the eight rays , four on the right and four on the left side. The pattern of where the next element is located is like butterfly wings or ∞ infinity symbol. Add four to the right then flip and add four to the left.
I think comparing the atom to our heart gives us an understanding of atoms. Both right and left heart are essential and yet function differently. The heart muscles must function two ways to contract and push blood out of the heart and to relax and allow blood to flow into the heart. With this combination of giving out blood and receiving blood and each side doing its different part we have life giving blood flowing through our bodies. Both the right and the left contact and relax, receive blood in and push it out.
In elements the electrons that are closest to the outside of the right side give or share when in contact with other atoms which is always. The electrons on the outside circle that end on the left side are receivers.
In the scriptures the Lord often tells us we want to be found on the right-hand side. In the atom that literally means to be a giver of electrons. The left side is certainly important but we don’t want to be found with morewanting to receive empty holes than we have giving, right side electrons. It would be like the heart always wanting to receive blood but not giving any out.
The Lord provides this opportunity of giving and sharing to everyone who comes to earth and we interact first of all in families and in all ways with one another. Parenthood is certainly an exercise in giving and caring. Babies all come needing love and care Parenthood means sleepless nights serving and it continues into the teenage years. Loving in families is like constant giving out of power and energy and forgiveness , or it should be.
The flow of electrons is energy, power, --maybe priesthood is ability to use this flow of electrons. As one atom gives off its electrons it receives more so it can again give off. Receiving is necessary to give again.
Body and spirit inseparably connected bring a fullness of joy. This will happen at resurrection but it begins with birth onto this earth. We received a body and a family. A physical body is a treasure. Satan and his hosts will never receive their own. Satan wants to possess our bodies here on earth. It seems when Heavenly Father gave Adam work it was about giving, loving, caring and chasing Satan away. Work and giving and light are connected. Satan does not like work or love. Notice how you feel better when you work real intently on something or love someone very much.
Jesus Christ and other Men of God have shown us that it is possible to have dominion over the physical, like parting the Red Sea, moving mountains, stopping the mouths of lions, raising the dead, multiplying food, controlling the weather, armies being victorious, walking on water, and having an abundance of food, clothing, shelter, health, the renewing of our bodies and many other physical things I have not mentioned that you can think of. Of course the greatest is Jesus Christ overcoming physical death first for himself and then for us. He also gave us the atonement to overcome sin and pain and know and understand every suffering we go through to have perfect compassion and love.
The center of the atom is protons with a positive charge. They pull electrons back to the atom. They are like a come home female force. The pattern of husband and wife sealed is this left right, outside and center balance. As in the heart male and female have different functions each essential to the whole.
The chiastic pattern of x is like ∞ .
We are each both beggars and givers. We are always dependent upon God as King Mosiah tells us even for every breath. Yet in our lives we should strive to be givers. We are as mirrors in the sealing rooms; there is the chandelier giving us love and light and we show strive to reflect that love and light back and forth among us increasing the original light by our reflections. ∞ Receiving then shinning back the love and light sent to us from God and each other.
There are 8 elements on Helen’s Chart that she named sliders and I call super-givers. These 8 elements have a chiastic structure in the arrangement of their electrons. Examples are 20 Calcium 2 8 8 2 ; 56 Barium 2 8 18 18 8 2 . Calcium shares its outside last two electrons with the elements 21-28 the next 8 elements. Barium shares it outside last two electrons with the next 22 elements 57 through 78. This chiastic structure truly makes these last two electrons super givers.
For me what I see in this pattern is about following the Savior’s directive to become even as he is. To be a Savior on Mt. Zion we must be like being Barium’s last two electrons giving for 22 others or many more. How can I lift and share and love others is my message of this pattern.

… We declare with soberness that the Lord has now made known his will for the blessing of all his children throughout the earth who will hearken to the voice of his authorized servants, and prepare themselves to receive every blessing of the gospel.
He (the Lord) has heard our prayers, and by revelation has confirmed that the long-promised day has come when every faithful, worthy man in the Church may receive the holy priesthood, with power to exercise its divine authority, and enjoy with his loved ones every blessing that flows there-from, including the blessings of the temple. Accordingly, all worthy male members of the Church may be ordained to the priesthood without regard for race or color. …

In 1986 Whitney was placed in our family for adoption. She is black-white by race. The adoption was finalized early in 1987 and she was sealed to us in the Salt Lake Temple at about 6 months of age.
Whitney is now 25 years old. She loves children. She is a kindergarten teacher of 26 five year old kids. She is always showing love especially to children. She was been a camp counselor for two summers in Massachusetts . This weekend as we were together as an extended family it was Whitney was on the playground picking up her two year old niece and nephew and pushing them on the swings; she was in the parking lot changing the dirty diaper; she was driving with her sister that needed help with two kids. Being Whitney’s mom I know she is full of love and goodness. I know Whitney by her daily good fruits.

Eternal Families--The role of Mothers
At the BYU Art museum there is a display of Altar Pieces done by Carl Block. One of these Altar Pieces is Jesus in Gethsemane dressed in red. There is a very bright angel kneeling by his side. Katie and I went together the first time I saw it. She was holding little Mindy 3 months old and Chase (5) was with us. It was first noticeable that the angel was beautiful, long curly blond hair, a beautiful face, full of love and compassion, bringing streams of light down around the darkness that encompasses Jesus. The question appears in my mind. Who is this beautiful angel? Immediately the answer flashes into my mind---HIS MOTHER. I ask Katie who do you think the angel is? She answers –HIS MOTHER.
Jesus is experiencing the longest, darkest, most difficult night of eternity and an angel is sent to strengthen him. Luke is the only one that writes of it. Luke 22: 43. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Heavenly Mother unnamed, mentioned just briefly in one verse. There to strengthen her son. Oh, to have his mother next to him through his literal Gethsemane, kneeing by him with her arms around him.
How many children do you think Heavenly Mother and Father chose or are now choosing to have? How many do they have room for? How Many do they have energy to care for? How many do they love?

My Burden is Light
Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
Light like sunshine. D&C 88 Light is intelligence, truth, comprehends all things, enlightenment. Photons have no weight. Light fills the immensity of space. God travels in ray of light we learn from Joseph Smith—Moroni travels in light but this traveling is faster than the speed of light. Jesus Christ is in the sun and the power by which the sun was made. We feel light increasing in our world bringing warmth, the first like spring time yellow flowers. Light bring new life. Light –sunlight and enlightment are both healing.
The DVD Family Man portrays a man who is given enlightenment because of a life- saving good deed that he does. The true greatest blessings of family that come with love are inacted against wealth and position and immorality. Family life is less sleep, work, caring for your children, not making near as much money, not having great respect and position at work, but somehow is so so much more than the emptiness of life without family. Light is given him-enlightment. Kate says “I don’t know why---You are just not supposed to get on that plane”. “I don’t know why” is the feeling of a greater truth-- love and family.
Jesus Christ’s burden being light is not about easy, less labor, less work. No the pioneers show that his burden is great effort because of the effort required to come to know God. ( Francis Higbee- The price we paid to know God).
Search for enlightment, for truth, for the bigger eternal picture is in keeping the laws of God. When we do labor, work, effort, families, love, service for God’s Eternal Principles the reasons for the labor and sweat and tears and exhaustion make it a small price to pay for the rewards.
D&C 88:11 “who enlighteneth your eyes; which is the same light which quickeneth your understand;
Light which comes from God gives life to all things, governs all things, is the law, the power of God.
Light is all about power. The sun is Hydrogen and Helium heated to extreme temperatures and under great pressure. Solar power in just the right amount with water and earth allows life on earth. Expect Celestial Life and Righteous Earth Life to require great energy, for outcomes that eye hath not seen nor ear heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man.
The reasons for expending energy past fatigue are higher when based on light from God. His burden is light.
D&C 88:67 And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.

Light like sunshine. D&C 88 Light is intelligence, truth, comprehends all things, enlightenment. Photons have no weight. Light fills the immensity of space. God travels in ray of light we learn from Joseph Smith—Moroni travels in light but this traveling is faster than the speed of light. Jesus Christ is in the sun and the power by which the sun was made. We feel light increasing in our world bringing warmth, the first like spring time yellow flowers. Light bring new life. Light –sunlight and enlightment are both healing.
The DVD Family Man portrays a man who is given enlightenment because of a life- saving good deed that he does. The true greatest blessings of family that come with love are inacted against wealth and position and immorality. Family life is less sleep, work, caring for your children, not making near as much money, not having great respect and position at work, but somehow is so so much more than the emptiness of life without family. Light is given him-enlightment. Kate says “I don’t know why---You are just not supposed to get on that plane”. “I don’t know why” is the feeling of a greater truth-- love and family.
Jesus Christ’s burden being light is not about easy, less labor, less work. No the pioneers show that his burden is great effort because of the effort required to come to know God. ( Francis Higbee- The price we paid to know God).
Search for enlightment, for truth, for the bigger eternal picture is in keeping the laws of God. When we do labor, work, effort, families, love, service for God’s Eternal Principles the reasons for the labor and sweat and tears and exhaustion make it a small price to pay for the rewards.
D&C 88:11 “who enlighteneth your eyes; which is the same light which quickeneth your understand;
Light which comes from God gives life to all things, governs all things, is the law, the power of God.
Light is all about power. The sun is Hydrogen and Helium heated to extreme temperatures and under great pressure. Solar power in just the right amount with water and earth allows life on earth. Expect Celestial Life and Righteous Earth Life to require great energy, for outcomes that eye hath not seen nor ear heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man.
The reasons for expending energy past fatigue are higher when based on light from God. His burden is light.
D&C 88:67 And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.

Wow What a team!
Marta and Brad have bought a building for Brad's law office. To do it right all the old walls have been taken out. I have been part of an incredible team. Everyone works and helps each other. We are on the fourth day of demolition and have had the dumpster emptied twice. Everyone helps each other.
marta found a note from Jed today. it said Successful people are willing to do what others won't. Well we are doing just that and thank you everyone of you Harr Kids for working and helping so willingly.

Elder Jed is now a missionary Family Home Evening

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for the missionaries that have served in our family and for Jedediah Craig Harr whose was set apart as a missionary Sunday 18 July 2010.
We had a very exceptional extended family home evening planned for a month or so by Marta. Val was conducting and he had ask every missionary in our family to share something special about their mission. The entire family, except for Whitney who is having her own spiritual experiences being an Especially For Youth Councilor for two weeks in Logan, gathered on the new deck at Fox Hunt.
We first ate Chinese which is not usual for us but was very good and we thank Brad for providing it for us and others added good things.
Val then took charge and we sang together “I Hope They Call Me on a Mission” and prayed and then Dave Stapel started and stood up front of the family and shared about learning to share yourself not trying to be someone else but sharing your own talents to find and teach the people that you were sent to teach that have been prepared for you. Cliff Lindford, Jeff McNeill, Jeremy Paulsen, Brad Harr and then Grandpa Chris, who was especially thrilled to have the opportunity to stand and tell about deciding to serve a mission and the spiritual Holy Ghost witnesses that accompanied his and Orla’s call to serve. Val followed and then (it is now dark) turned sometime over to Elder Jed.

As Jed spoke these words having memorized them I felt that Jesus Christ was standing right behind his shoulder.
I was reminded of Katie’s missionary scripture:
D&C 84:88
And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
And a similar scripture:
D&C 49: 27
Behold, I will go before you and be your rearward; and I will be in your midst, and you shall not be confounded.
What a great privilege to be in the presence of Jesus Christ, our Savior. I did not see him I just had the impression that He was there as Jed spoke the words about representing Him.
In the days of Moses as the children of Israel traveled in the wilderness the presence of the Lord was witnessed constantly as a cloud over the tabernacle by day and a pillar of fire by night.
It is my goal to see him face to face as Moses diligently tried to inspire the children of Israel to do so.
It was a special time to hear Grandpa Chris tell us about his strong impressions of the Holy Ghost and how important it was to him. It was great to have him there as our senior patriarch to share. Katie also was especially powerful and she stood on a chair and told us about street corners and singing “I am a child of God”. Jeremy encouraged each kid there to know now that they are going to serve a mission. Jeff did not want to go where it was cold but went to serve in Michigan some days it was -20. He served. Brad told about putting a Book of Mormon on the roof as a creative way to get to share about it and how every missionary will have to think of their own ways of sharing. Cliff told of teaching a special young man who yelled to them over the fence and wanted to interview Mormons on their religion. He taught and loved that young man just a little older than he was and how he went on be become a missionary. Val met Bruce Olsen chopping wood and chopped wood for him the day he met him and now his sons have served missions. Every missionary added to the spirit as they shared their insights about their mission with us.
We closed the FHE by all singing a song lead by Brinley and then “Called to Serve” and little Brycen prayed.
Thank you Marta for providing us with this wonderful time together. The family all loved coming together to have this family home evening. The cousins played and did not want it to end. Little Bode and Emma were still running and play at 11:00pm. It was a beautiful feeling of being together.

Charity is the Law of Abundance required by Zion people
Meridian Magazine answers my question about Newton"s Law , the Law of the Harvest and How the Law of Consecration works. It is not a law of everyone puts everything they have into the pot and takes out equally. I believe free agency and charity must be at the core of the Law of Consecration and the Law of Abundance described here are always God's Law sending blessing for sacrifice.

Monson described this way: “It is an immutable law that the more you give away, the more you receive.” Then, referencing a quote attributed to Winston Churchill, he said, “‘You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.’” 10 The Lord always rewards us with more than we sacrifice.
This “immutable law”—the hundredfold law—drives Zion’s cycle of abundance and makes Zion people exceedingly prosperous. 11 Of course, this law runs contrary to Babylon’s practices of grabbing, competing and hoarding. The hundredfold law, which flows from the law of consecration, stipulates that if we will give what we have and are, the Lord will reward us beyond our sacrifice: “an hundredfold."

This is so the law the atom teaches. Right side electrons give which does create a literal positive imbalance which does demand correction by then being the receiver.
Atoms with electrons ending of the left side want to receive. They take electrons making them Babylon of grabbing, and hoarding. The atom exemplifies these laws of God found working everywhere in the universe.

Jakob's Miracle
V and B along with S and C were at a girls’camp above Cedar City working to set up for the Fall Camporee for St. George Scouts. The camp was in the tops of the mountains covered with quaking aspen just turned yellow and orange. 260 scouts and their leaders were to show there that night to start activities planned from 9:00pm to 1:00 am. It was the first for everyone there to have the activities all done by headlights.
M had as usual gotten one hour of sleep in the early morning hours and had worked night to have everything organized for the camp. Yet there are always things to be done just before the boys arrive. V had packed all day Thursday and the truck and trailer were loaded for our early take off Friday morning. The whole H family met us in Cedar City. I left with Marta and Junior team and L to go to St. George where we were scheduled to register participants for the Triathlon and finish preparations for the scout camp. E worked on making dinner for V, B and whowould need it at scout camp, finished making winner badges, M worked on a tough scheduling adgenda of how 42 troops would do each of 6 x 3 activities which she could not figure out throught the middle of the night. L and I were boiling water and dumping it in coolers for hot chocolate for the boys breakfast of pancakes and sausages.
Liesl and I dumped a very large pot of just boiled water into a very large cooler probably holding u[ to 10 gallons. It was not probably about 1/3 filled and was last of the four coolers we were going to fill. We have each left the stove area of the kitchen when we heard the scream. J had tipped the cooler of just boiled water over on him. Marta from the office reached him first and turned on the cold water. I took him as she reached for ice and I searched for burn areas was it on his hands or face I could see his little foes turning white and knew it was especially one foot that I kept dumping cold water over.

Wilford Woodruff learned to trust deeply in the power of the Lord early in life. According to his own record, he underwent many accidents and other hardships and was only spared because of the mercy of the Lord. He fell into a caldron of scalding water at the age of three; (J turns 3 in less than 2 months) he slipped from a beam in his father’s barn, landing on his face on the bare floor; he broke both his arms by falls; he narrowly missed being gored by a bull; he broke his leg by a fall from a carriage; he was kicked in the stomach by an ox; he was buried beneath a load of hay when his wagon tipped over; he was in a wagon that overturned when a runaway horse bolted down a hill; he fell fifteen feet from a tree, landing fiat on his back; he was saved from drowning in thirty feet of water; he narrowly escaped freezing to death when a passerby happened to see him crawl into the hollow of an apple tree; he split open the instep of his left foot while chopping wood; he was bitten by a dog in the last stages of rabies; he was thrown from a runaway horse and broke one of his legs in two places and dislocated both ankles. All of this happened before Wilford was twenty years old!
Later he fell twice from the top of a mill wheel, narrowly escaping being crushed to death. On two other occasions he was dragged behind a runaway horse; a gun aimed directly at his chest snapped accidentally but fortunately misfired; a falling tree hit him in the chest, breaking his breastbone and three ribs and badly bruising his left thigh, hip, and arm.
It is no wonder that he early recognized the Lord’s power to preserve him. Contemplating these accidents later in his life he said, “I, therefore, ascribe my preservation on earth to the watchcare of a merciful Providence, whose hand has been stretched out to rescue me from death when I was in the presence of the most threatening dangers.”
A thoughtful young man, he always wanted to do what was right. In his early teens he wrote, “My age is an important period in the life of every man; for, generally speaking, at this period of life man forms much of his character for time and eternity. How cautious I ought to be in passing this landmark along the road of my early existence! I feel that I need care, prudence, circumspection and wisdom to guide my footsteps in the path which leads to honor and eternal life.”
His constant search for guidance led him often to the Lord in prayer so that when he finally did have the opportunity to hear the gospel, he was well prepared to receive it.
Prayer , priesthood blessings and fasting along with doctors helping show M how to help the burns and blusters heal will help J heal. His loving brothers and sisters, mom and dad will be carrying him for a few weeks. It reminds me of the bond between Hymn and Joseph when Hyrum held Joseph for months when as a youth his leg bone had to be cut out. Somehow good things come out of difficult things.

The Law of Consecration &
Newton’s Cradle
The Law of Consecration is you would give everything to the Lord, all your time and talents and everything you possess. Does this negate the law of for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction or the law of justice?Newton’s Cradle
I read a book recently where the saints were called by the prophet to gather at the ward building and bring all their food storage with them, leave their houses and their cars and go to camps in the mountains. It is a difficult decision for people will they follow the prophet and “gather”? My friend says this is beautiful; everyone is equal and gives all they have to the good of all. She would share all that she has with the group. For her it would be a beautiful experience of loving everyone.
I ask W about this and she explained what happened at the Gathering Place when management changed the rules of how tips were distributed. The old way had been the tips you make the night you work were given to each employee. The new way was to pool all tips for the month and then divide them equally. This was very upsetting to at least J and K and W. Some night employees put up many tables and served a complete dinner, some other shifts there was just a desert served. They knew some shifts required much more work than other shifts and equal distribution of tips was not fair. Who would want to work the hard shifts why not just work the easy shifts and get as much money. The purpose for working was to make money and the more you put into it the more you should earn. Equal pay for different amounts of work was not fair.
Newton’s Cradle is some steel balls hung by string and when you pull back on the ball on one side it swings back and knocks the ball out on the opposite side. It shows that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is a law of physics. More gas the engine works harder and faster and the speed increases. Basically the more you put into an action the more you get out of it. Little expended little returned, Much put into an action more returned.
The Law of the harvest is he who plants and works the soil and waters and weeds is he who reaps the crop. With the help of God you could reap the seeds you sew.
America has been the land of opportunity. Citizens could work hard and reap the fruits of their labors and ask for the blessings of God to help them in their labors and go through tribulation but reap abundance.
So the Law of Consecration is God’s Law of the best living. Give everything to God and trust Him to care for you. The Lord warns us that it is difficult for the rich man to get into Heaven it is like going through the eye of the needle. The camel must unload his pack and crawl through on his knees.
I have always believed that there must be a reason to do good. That the law of Justice held that if you do good you will reap good. Cast your bread on the water and it will come back magnified. Pay your tithing and the Lord will open the windows of heaven. You receive blessings for doing good and do all the good that you can and the Lord will greatly bless you.
H says she could give up her house easily because she believes the Lord would not put her out in the cold and move some do nothing person into her house. She says Trust the Lord to take care of you.
Food storage has always been important to me. I have even given my young kids powdered milk for their birthday present. It has been a priority to have food storage and some investments and money in savings.
Would the Lord ask me to give all and make everyone equal?
Zion says there were no poor among them. I want to help others but will it be by prophet mandate. Everyone must give everything they have to the pot and everyone draws out equally.
I want the opportunity and the Lord’s blessing on my efforts to prepare for when and if food storage would be needed and the opportunity to willing share not by commandment to share but by Do unto others as you would have loves do to you and Love you neighbor and do good to those who despitefully use you. I want the opportunity to prepare and to give and share and grow by learning more about mercy and the gift of charity the greatest love comes from God to me. - Can I then love others?
Eternity and Temple covenants are so connected with family. Love is so connected with family. In my life I have been a mother and a grandmother. I want to have the opportunity of sharing first with those I love and care about the most-My family. God is my Heavenly Father. We are sealed to our families. I prepare because I want to be able to take care of first of all my family. They are always on my mind in storing up for what they might need in hard times in the future. Daily they now are concerned about me and V and we are daily concerned about them. Each has different needs and help is never equal.
If all efforts are pooled together and given out equally is there any incentive to prepare abundantly?
I know I too am a beggar dependant on God for every breath, for life, for strength, for family, for all things. May I return even part of the goodness He gives to me. I want to love the Lord with all my heart, might , mind and strength and trust him.

We really cannot do anything alone Yet some effort must be our Own
We Must Take our own Steps Forward
As a family we have hiked often recently through the mountains. The terrain is up and down over rocks and roots and water sometimes very steep up and down to beautiful waterfalls and through awesome meadows. It takes energy and strength.
We had a cousins cabin day and most of the cousins were there. We went on a hike that started with ridding in the back of Grandpa’s truck and the proceeded hiking straight up the mountain. M was carring two year old J but 3 year Ch was holding his mother K’s hand and doing great hiking. After hiking steep up the mountain we arrived at the top not so steep meadow but were in open grass and flowers not on a road or trail just finding our own path. M put 2 year old J down to walk. We all had compassion and would have helped J. Yet he would only let his mother carry him, would allow no one else to help her and would not walk on his own. She put him down knowing that he could walk here but was refusing to do so. Rather preferring to cry and be carried. M put him down and walked on. The whole group about 15 of us walked on. It was an open meadow still uphill but we could really hear him and see him.
I do not know how he could scream so loud while walking up hill . Anyway it was precious to watch him coming along last hiking away. Each of us had compassion for him but knew he had refused our help. He was capable of hiking on his own which was now very evident as he was doing great. After quite a while maybe 20 minutes he allowed Big J and Kind Heart L to take his hand and stopped screaming. I was even allowed to take his hand and help him when we came to the steep down.
Val went ahead and got the rig and picked us up as we hit the drivable road.
Later in the day Val and I and M drove in the driveway as he was playing in the back yard at Fox Hunt. He saw Grandpa and both arms in the air run for the truck calling Grandpa Grandpa. They embraced and hugged and it was beautiful.

For him wisdom was "a sort of permanent state of inspiration." To attain that state, he prescribed chastity, a diet of herbs and fruit, and clothes as pure as the body and soul. Apollonius was a sincere man who labored to separate the spiritual essence of his being and unite it with the divine spirit. He ascribed an important role in this process to the imagination, using it as a path to self-development. He discerned in the smile on the face of a statue, the spirit that lies behind form. He regarded material things, the contour of a landscape, the color of rivers and of stars, the multiform earth, as the symbols of another, purer world, of which they were but the reflections.
"I shall continue to speak with you as though you were present," Sounds like Moroni From the book of Mormon Apollonius had said as he left his Indian masters. Was it their words that he heard at a distance or was it by divine inspiration that he received his great influx of wisdom? Even in Domitian's darkest dungeon, there was a moment when a certain fluidity in the atmosphere indicated the light of a mysterious inner dawn. The world grew more silent, the walls became thinner, and an inner voice, wise beyond time and matter, perhaps spoke to him thus:
"The greatest are those who never find their place, in times that are unpropitious to them. Nothing of the good that a man has done, and, more particularly, nothing of the good that he has thought, is lost, even if he is imprisoned or crucified for that good. But be not as the Hindu ascetic, who was unable to forget injustice. Because the words of the master Jesus will burn like a living flame deep into the hearts of Western humanity, you will be cursed and forgotten. You will be contrasted with him, and for centuries, pious men will speak of you as a juggler or a mountebank. But if you rise to the region where neither justice nor injustice exists, you will know that this is a matter of small importance. It will be necessary for you to share also Jesus' own sorrow, which is very great, for he has been a thousand times more misunderstood than you, a thousand times worse betrayed. Make ready to approach God on the day that is appointed in the Great Book without lettering. Then perhaps you will be crowned with the glory that you so ardently desired."

There is a Green Hill and Wisdom
Today I got to play the music for church at Snowbird which was held basically out on the mountain side. Not often do I get to have church outside. It was at a place where outside concerts are held. We sang High on a Mountain Top and There is a Green Hill. This was a beautiful Green Mountain Top. The sun was shinning brightly and I loved it. RS was something about being judged by the light in us. Sunshine and spiritual thoughts must bring light.
Wisdom: D&C 45:56,57 And at that day, when I shall come in my glory, shall the parable be fulfilled which I spake concerning the ten virgins, For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire, but shall abide the day.
D&C 89:4,18-21 In consequence of evils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in the last days, I have warned you, and forewarn you, by giving unto you this word of wisdom by revelation-
18.And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones:
19, And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowlege, even hidden treasures.
20. And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint.
21. And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.
Could It be that to be wise and to find wisdom relates to treating our bodies as a temple to receiving light-- to taking healthy things into our bodies is one step leading to wisdom in fact a promise that wisdom will come. And the next step is to not be deceived and to have the destroying angel pass by us. To be a Wise Virgin-- the Wise Men at Christ"s birth saw the new Star and recognized it as the sign of the Messiah---maybe there were only three and the rest of the world missed it. It seems we should seek for wisdom that may come by eating meat and grains sparingly and fruits and vegtables in the season thereof with prudence and thanksgiving. Could this clease our bodies so we can have the Holy Ghost to be our constant companion? Sometimes the ideas are so simple we miss them---in fact all but three missed the star.
